Bestmile celebrates its first anniversary by winning three out of four prizes during the Alp ICT Venture Night 2015, and by meeting Suzi LeVine, US ambassador in Switzerland.

Bestmile Sàrl, an EPFL startup specialized in the field of innovative mobility, won three of the four prizes at the Alp ICT Venture Night, in the context of the Lift conference. Bestmile was in competition with seven other startups.

At the beginning of the evening, Renaud Visage, chairman of the jury, CTO & Co-founder of Eventbrite, inaugurated the festivities by giving an advice to the competing startups: “make us dream”.

Bestmile which had just celebrated its first birthday, rose to the challenge and convinced the jury composed by Renaud Visage, Stefan Zanetti (Qipp CEO and winner of the last year event), Hila Oren (Tel Aviv Global CEO), and Abir Oreibi (Lift chairwoman), who honored the startup with the Jury Award.

Bestmile also convinced the audience, around 500 innovation enthusiasts, who could invest virtual amounts of money (from 1’000 to 10’000 CHF) in each of the competing startups. Bestmile received the highest investment, hence won the public award.

Last but not least, Bestmile received the Best Women’s Project Award, given by the event organizer and the Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI). This last prize notably allowed the startup to discuss its activities and ideas with US ambassador in Switzerland, Suzi LeVine, during a lunchtime meeting with ten other women entrepreneurs.
