Once again, Bestmile has been recognized as one of the leading startups in Switzerland, this year being voted number 2 in Startup.ch’s annual Top 100 Swiss Startups competition. Bestmile was ranked number seven in the 2017 awards, up from 13th in 2016 and 29th in 2015.

“This competition calls attention to the great innovation that is going on in Switzerland, and Bestmile is proud to continue to rise in the rankings as our business grows,” said Raphael Gindrat, CEO and cofounder of Bestmile.

Switzerland has emerged as a leading center of innovation in recent years, ranking first in the Global Innovation Index* for the second year in a row. The Global Innovation Index (GII) ranking is published annually by Cornell University, INSEAD and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

About the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Awards

Each year since 2011, Venturelab has organized the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award. The 100 most innovative and promising Swiss startups are picked by a panel of 100 leading investors and startup experts. Each one nominates 10 favorite Swiss startups, less than five years old, with the greatest commercial potential. The first-placed company on any list gets 10 points, the second 9 and so on. All these individual rankings are compiled to generate the final TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award ranking, which therefore recognizes the startups that have most impressed all 100 jury members.

The TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award is supported by the presenting partners Credit Suisse, SVC, Swiss Prime Site, SECA and digitalswitzerland.
